Renato Poliafito is a two-time James Beard nominee and the owner
(and manager, and HR department, and handyman, and PR rep) of Ciao,
Gloria, a bakery and café with a decidedly Italian accent in Prospect
Heights, Brooklyn. This is his fifth cookbook, but he considers Dolci!
his first “solo album.” He enjoys traveling and not traveling in equal
measure. In his free time, he is a novice potter and likes to eat sweets
(duh). He lives with his husband and potential future dog in Brooklyn.
