Your Talbott & Arding catering invoice does not include gratuities for the Catering Service Staff.
Any tips added when paying your invoice are distributed evenly to all Talbott & Arding hourly employees through our Employee Bonus Fund. If you wish to provide a gratuity specifically for the Catering Service Staff, you have two options:

1. You can provide a cash gratuity to the Captain at the time of the event, and they will distribute
it to the Catering Service Staff.

2. You can choose to pay a gratuity to Catering Service Staff in advance via credit card. If you prefer this option, please let us know, and we will add the gratuity to your invoice, which will then be paid out to the Catering Service Staff

Talbott & Arding works closely with a professional catering staff agency. We can schedule bartenders, servers, captains and a sanitation team to work your event. There is a 4 hour minimum for booking. Hourly rates vary - please inquire. If the event site is more than 45 minutes drive from Hudson, the staffing agency adds travel time to their invoice. All serving staff wear a uniform of long sleeve indigo blue button down shirts and white bistro aprons

Our driver will deliver your order to your home or event site. This is a drop off service only anddoes not include set up. Delivery times are between 10am - 3pm.
At this time we are not able to make deliveries on Sundays.

Grains, beans, potato or pasta salads - 4 oz per person
Side vegetables - 2 - 4oz per person
Proteins: meat, chicken, tofu or fish 6-8 oz per person
Baked Entrees (lasagna, shepherds pie, chicken parmesan): 6-8 oz per person
Breads 1-2 servings per person Starches - potatoes, pasta or rice - 4-6 oz per person
Appetizers/Hors d'oeuvres - 2-4 pieces per person per hour
Focaccia pizza - 1-2 slices per person
Baguette sandwich platters - 2 half sandwiches per person

At Talbott & Arding we take great care in preparing your catering order in an environment that adheres to the highest food safety standards. However, please be aware that common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish are routinely used in our kitchen and we therefore cannot guarantee that any food is 100% allergen free.

Yes, with 72 hours advance notice we can provide a printed menu that lists ingredients and allergens for each item

Many of your catered items are intended to be served at room temperature. Entrees and side dishes that can be reheated before service will include reheating instructions.

We can supply you with compostable dinner plates, dessert/side plates, forks, knives & spoons, along with dinner napkins. The price per person is $2.50. We also can supply you with disposable serving forks & knives & tongs. The price per serving utensil is $1.50.

Certain items can be made dairy free or gluten free - please inquire when submitting your catering order. We have a large menu with many diary free, vegan & gluten free options which is indicated on each menu item.

The earliest pick up in the store is 10am. If you need an early delivery or pick up we will do our best to accommodate. Some orders may require an additional charge.

At Talbott & Arding we put time and care into each catering order. We understand that
unplanned situations may occur and that you might need to make last minute changes or even cancel your order. We appreciate as much advance notice as possible for any changes or cancellations. Final head counts and changes to your order must be received 72 hours in advance of the date of the catering pick up or off site event. Orders cancelled with less than 96 hours notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the food order and 50% of the staffing fee if applicable. Orders cancelled within 48 hours of delivery /pick up/ offsite event will be charged in full and refund will not be issued.

We offer special preorder menus for holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Passover. These are placed through a separate preorder system and have their own order deadlines, typically 72 hours before pickup. Visit our website for current holiday menus and ordering details.

Many items are naturally gluten-free or vegetarian and we do our best to label clearly. That said, we work with dairy, nuts, wheat, eggs, shellfish and other common allergens in our kitchen and shop. If you have a serious allergy, please contact us before ordering so we can help you choose safely.
