Stony Pond Farm is a certified organic, grass-based family farm in Fairfield, Vermont, run by Melanie and Tyler Webb. Melanie came to cheesemaking from a career in fine art photography in New York, and began making cheese at Stony Pond in 2019. On cheesemaking days, raw milk is piped directly from the barn into the make room at 90°F, never refrigerated, before becoming cheese, with each batch coming from a single milking. The cheeses are named after native birds that live on the farm's land, a reflection of the ecosystem that Stony Pond works hard to protect.

+

Pinot Noir, nuts, dried fruit, crusty bread

Storage Tips

+

When you receive your cheese, unpack the order right away and refrigerate the items. We recommend using the cheese paper we wrap and ship the cheese in to store your cheese at home. A good place to store the cheese is in the salad drawer of your fridge because the moisture helps to prevent cheese from drying out while also allowing it to breathe. Always bring cheese to room temperature before serving.
